What is Amnesty Week?
Circuit Court Clerk Candice Adams, in partnership with Harris and Harris, proudly presents the DuPage County Circuit Court Clerk's Amnesty Week. Amnesty Week allows individuals to avoid collection fees on past due traffic tickets and other criminal case fines. Cases in collections with Harris and Harris will have the collections fee waived once paid in full.
Who qualifies?
Qualifying cases must have occurred in DuPage County. While all cases with an outstanding balance are eligible to be paid in full, collection fees will only be waived for those cases that have already been sent to Harris and Harris for collection efforts.
Details:
- Anyone wishing to participate must come IN PERSON. Collection fees will not be waived on cases where payment was made online. The full balance of the case, including restitution, must be paid in order for the collection fee to be removed.
- Amnesty Week runs from August 12, 2024 thru August 16, 2024. Collection fees will not be waived when payment is made outside of Amnesty Week dates. No exceptions.
- Cash, check, and credit cards will be accepted. Please allow 48 hours for the website to reflect the update in balance.
