Utilizing Zoom in the Law Library for Court Proceedings (video)
Many court cases require litigants to appear before a Judge via Zoom instead of appearing in person. This means you may attend your court date via Zoom from your home or office using your camera phone or personal computer - you do not need to come to the courthouse.
Notices are mailed to litigants explaining if they should appear via Zoom. These notices are mailed to the address the Circuit Court Clerk's Office has on file. To update your mailing address, please log in to your e-filing account at i2file.net.
To check your court date and time, visit your e-filing account at i2file.net or the public access Circuit Court Clerk Public Information Application.
Zoom access is available in the law library.
The mission of the DuPage County Law Library is to provide legal information services to all licensed attorneys, judges, as well as members of the public. Our goal is to provide our patrons with accurate, up-to-date legal information. To achieve this goal we are committed to tailoring the law library's collection to meet the needs of the legal community. The library currently maintains a core print collection of 26,000 volumes. The library also provides access to electronic databases and internet resources for legal research. These materials include compilations of state and federal statutes, state and federal cases, digests, encyclopedias, regional reporters, treatises, forms and legal periodicals.
NOTE: Litigants representing themselves in court or performing research in the law library are advised NOT to bring electronic devices with them to the courthouse. Devices with cameras, such as smartphones and computers, will not be allowed into the courthouse/library. Lockers are available on the first floor of the parking garage to store your valuables.
The library is located on the 2nd floor at the south end of the DuPage County Judicial Center. It overlooks the pond which provides a great view year round. Work and reading areas are located by the windows allowing for natural reading light. There is seating available to over 40 persons. Each year upwards of 35,000-40,000 patrons use the library.
